Full name: Sabău Dan-Marius

Date of birth: may 22nd 1978 (it means the sign of the zodiac Gemini and the year of the Horse, but I don't believe in this)

Current address: Oradea, România, Terra, Sol system (I hope it's well localized)

Why only dan-marius.ro? Why not dan-marius-sabău.ro or any other combination of letters? Because they are the two given names from my parents. Daily I use only the first one, but on the network I got to use both of them. If you are curious why, well, you will have to stay that curious. ;)

Other information:

- in 1996 I graduated „Emanuil Gojdu” highschool in Oradea, Informatics department (sic). Now the highschool was replaced with National College, but that's another story.

- in 2001 I graduated the Faculty of Electrotehnics and Informatics in the University of Oradea, Computer Department

With other words: I am a software developer, a programmer. First time I've worked with computers was in the last year of gymnasium as optional matter to study. I had to choose between music, chemistry and computers... I could have been an excellent chemist if I would have loved it or an exception musician if I would have the talent to play. With that opportunity I discovered that I love computers, on that time they were something new to me. I made the “mistake” to study them thoroughly in high school and faculty... and I work now in the same field.

Why so many texts on my page? Because I have the habit to write. I don't have much talent to music, I am parallel with the act of drawing, but I love to write.

I have reached to the seam of literature knows as SF (science fiction) gradual while I have developed myself as a reader and as a person, I consider it the most ample style from the existing ones these days. Throught SF it can be created almost anything, whitout the inherent limitations of other literature genres. I love to write, to use my imagination, and some consider that I write well. If they are right or not, well, I am not in a position to say something about it, I am leting you to do it... You, the ones that read my texts.

I've added, and I will continue to add, on page various articles, in several fields. Some of them are technical, related with computers and software development, others are related to various things or events that I were parts of my life or I've noticed around me. Maybe I am too critical, or too direct, or a joker (how some would say), but these are a part of me. The humour and the imagination are very active, and you can notice their combination in my texts, in some form or another.

I started to practice kendo in Timişoara while I was living there (2001-2002), at the Sam-Sho club. Kendo means The way of the sword, it's a martial art. It's Japanese fencing, to be more precise. Even it is specific to the Japanese people, Kendo was one of the few good thing I kept from the Timişoara „trip”... so I continued to practice it in Oradea. About the pictures: I love to take picture, but I am not photogenic. It may owe to the fact that I do not like somebody to take my picture or caught me on tape, or because I prefer to always be in the back of a camera than in front of it.

This web page is wanted to be the representation of some of the subjects that captivates me and more official presentation of me. The SF texts, the articles and the most important part of the pictures are my creations, as well the php script for this web page. So the comments to this page should be addressed to me.
